The European Commission has completed its investigation into the steel abrasives cartel with a fine of EUR 6.2 million imposed on Pometon. The decision intervenes more than two years after the other four particpants in the cartel chose to settle with the European Commission, making this one of the few hybrid cartel cases to reach conclusion. This is the third cartel decision to have been adopted in 2016 by the European Commission.
